You can become a difference-maker if you overcome a few common obstacles.
You can make choices that will help you live in the anointed zone.
None of us choose our birth family or things that were done to us at an early age, but when we become adults, everything can change. Paul the Apostle wrote this amazing psychological observation: “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
(I Corinthians 13:11, When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. NLT)
Now that you are an adult, you can make choices that will:
1. Free you from abuse and lies
2. Heal you from the damage of others
3. Empower you to pursue your destiny
4. Enable you to transform the lives of others.
I needed to make these choices too. When I was twenty years old, I wanted to kill myself... Depression had darkened my mind, and I tried to cope through drugs, relationships and success. Nothing seemed to be working. The pain of my childhood had me trapped in a victim mentality until the Spirit of God started to fill my mind and transform my thinking.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
(Philippians 4:8-9, 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. NLT)
Brother And Sister What’s been blocking your anointing, gifts and passions? Is it fear or the pains of your past? Today is a good day to allow faith, hope and love to free you from your past. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the strength to overcome your past and choose a new destiny for your life. There is an anointing jus t waiting for you to grab, or you can allow it to sit on the shelf, neglected and unused.
